Shari from the Glass Doorknob has begun a natural elements photo week. Monday: water. Tuesday: earth. Wednesday: air. Thursday: fire. Friday: metal.
Though I missed a day, I couldn’t help but jump in with a little earth. This particular patch of earth belongs to Amherst, Massachusetts, where I just spent a lovely and relaxing weekend. We went to the farmer’s market, hit Atkins Farms, ate cider doughnuts, swam in Puffer’s Pond, drank beers at a local brewery, and listened to the sound of crickets as we slept. A perfect way to unwind from the city.
Join in, or just check out lots of earth here. And more photos from my mini-getaway here.
this is such multi-dimensional picture. i can almost smell the air there and feel the fog. great job.
Love the scenery! It looks like a beautiful area!
such a lovely, peaceful earth photo. thanks for joining in!
this looks so peaceful.
it reminds me of home…I wouldn’t have guessed it was MASS (not that MA isn’t beautiful)
Amherst is one of the campuses i’m planning to visit in October. This photo makes me think I might just fit in after all. Country girl that I am.
