Since the end of Astroland at Coney Island is approaching with the closing of the 2007 season, we decided to have one final adventure before Coney Island changes forever.
Between the four of us, we managed to hit many of the major rides at the park (equally divided among the strong of stomach and the not so strong of stomach): the Cyclone (an 80-year-old wooden roller coaster), Top Spin, the Wonder Wheel (though technically not part of Astroland), the Water Flume, and Bumper Cars. We crowded into a photobooth, poked around a Coney Island museum, ate pizza at Totonno Pizzeria Napolitano‘s, and wandered the boardwalk.
All in all, a perfect adventure for the long weekend! Here are many more photos from the day.
