Hello 2009!

We had a long and relaxing break back home in Seattle, which included: (1) frolicking in the snow; (2) contributing more than our fair share to help along the U.S. economy, thanks to the awesome exchange rate; (3) upgrading my camera by buying mysister’s Nikon D40 (can’t wait to start taking photos and pouring through the manual!); (4)  having a photo shoot done by my sister; and (5) spending lots of quality time with family.  Check it all out here.

We arrived back in Hamburg on Tuesday afternoon.  Unfortunately, my head felt like it was going to explode during the entire journey.  Airplanes are really not fun when your sinuses are clogged, especially when your flight lasts 10+ hours.  Anyway, I slept most of Tuesday and New Year’s Eve (due to sickness, sleep deprivation and jet lag).

All of that to say that I am now feeling remarkably better and am almost ready to start reflecting on 2008 and planning 2009.  Almost, but not quite yet.

Instead, I am gathering inspiration from all the other reflections out there: Montague, Pop Culture Librarian, Emily, and Floribunda.

See you soon!
