Hannover Half Marathon | Week Two

I would say that my second week of training was much more successful than my first.  I hit just about all my goals for the week, including some speed training on Thursday evening (during a snowstorm, no less) which kicked my butt more than I thought it would (which is the point, I guess).

Yesterday was an extremely lazy day (sleeping late, eating croissants, napping, and watching Man on a Wire), but we made up for it today with a 1-hour run along Hamburg’s Alster in the morning and then in the afternoon cycled half-an-hour to the Kunsthalle to check out a bizarre exhibition of art inspired by Charles Manson and then half-an-hour back after getting something to eat at a cool restaurant that used to be a gymnastics training center.

Anyway, back to the point: a successful week of running with no excuses.  Looking forward to another good one!

I think you and my husband would get along. You recently posted something on facebook from improv everywhere, a group he follows regularly. And a week or so ago he brought home Man on Wire. There are other things, but it is fun to get to know you better through your blog and even more fun to see similarities in our lives. :)

P.S. Way to go training in a snow storm!

Hey Shannon, thanks for the awesome comment! If our paths cross again, we’ll have to meet up for coffee. But in the meantime, I love following your blog and am really glad we got reconnected!

P.S. I love Improv Everywhere, and participated in a couple of “missions” when I had the chance in New York, and was very sad to leave them behind when I moved here. :)
