In case you missed it, my Mom was just in Germany for a week and we did lots of sightseeing in Hamburg, Hannover and Helgoland.  And per usual, millions of pictures were taken.  Instead of overwhelming you, here are some favorites from Helgoland (with Hannover and Hamburg pics to come in later posts).  This was my second trip to Germany’s only offshore island and I always enjoy it — easy to reach from Hamburg, unpretentious, fascinating history, beautiful beaches, breathtaking cliffs, and just small enough that you can see just about everything in only a couple days.
