Autumn in Hamburg

It has been awhile since I picked up my camera.  Lately I have had this nagging feeling of always having something more important to do than taking pictures.  But I realize this is more an issue of wasting too much time during my day with things that don’t bring me joy or energy.  If I cut those things out, there is plenty of time for what must be done AND for what inspires me.

And what has been inspiring me lately is the loveliness of autumn and the changing leaves, so I promised myself a mini photo-safari in the park this weekend, with no other objective than to capture some of the gorgeous colors.  Thanks to the mild weather and an extra hour of sleep (we change clocks a week earlier than those in the U.S.), I was invigorated.  With only my camera in hand and my cell phone and keys in my pocket, I head out the door — and I’m so glad I did!
