It wouldn’t be right to ring in the new year without sharing my final Christmas Market experience of 2009 , in Hannover. We technically visited the Christmas Market in front of Hauptbahnhof twice — once on our way to a family visit in Hildesheim and once on our way back, so I was able to sneak in both afternoon and evening photo shots (and my last Glühwein of the season)!

The final tally of my Weihnachtsmarkt statistics for this season:
- Christmas Markets Visited: 4 (2 in Berlin, 1 in Hamburg and 1 in Hannover)
- Cups of Glühwein Consumed: 5
- Souvenir Mugs Collected: 2 from 2009 + 5 “retro” mugs given to me as gifts
- Bags of Schmalzkuchen Consumed: 2
- Pairs of gloves lost: 1
And some other Christmas Market related links, because it’s a favorite topic around here:
- Rathausmarkt | Hamburg (from December 15, 2009)
- Berlin’s Christmas Markets (from December 3, 2009)
- Weihnachstmarkt (from December 7, 2008)
With that, I declare No. 7 on my 32 Things list officially complete!
