Five Senses Friday no. 24

There are lots of changes in the air right now — which also means lots of stress (bleck), but I’m confident that it’s going to pay off eventually.  In the meantime, here’s a little something for you…

Seeing:
* gray, gray skies.

Hearing:
* myself talk, as I prepare the first of a number of presentations I need to give this month.

Tasting:
* the first local strawberries of the season. Yum!  I especially love adding them to my yogurt and granola in the morning.

Smelling:
* many more cups of coffee than necessary.

Feeling:
* tense in my shoulder and neck area. Per usual.

Happy weekend everyone!

    Mmmm…last weekend we got the first fresh local strawberries of the season and they were delicious. Absolutely wonderful.

    So you’re from Seattle? I lived there from 1996-2000 and return frequently because I have family who lives there. I adore Seattle! I used to work downtown and I still miss walking to Pike’s Place for lunch or for the big bundles of dahlias. There’s so much I miss about that city – the arts scene, the food, the scenery, the Puget Sound. Sigh. :-)

    • Wow, cool, then we definitely overlapped there for awhile! I always love returning to visit — my parents live in Pioneer Square and my brother on Capitol Hill — and it always feels just like home and so comfortable. (Plus, the coffee! I’m still drinking beans from Zeitgeist Cafe that I smuggled back from my last trip.) Maybe that’s also why I like Hamburg so much — also being a harbor city, and having water play such an important role in it’s culture and day-to-day life.
