Although the do-it-yourself fireworks on New Year’s Eve here in Germany kind of terrify me, we had an amazing view this year from a friend’s apartment in Berlin. Absolutely breathtaking, and a perfect way to ring in 2011.

WOW! That was quite a show. Great location to watch from…and it looks like their neighbors went a bit crazier with their spending budget than ours did :)
I find those huge batteries of fireworks that everyone buys just insane. They sure aren’t the simple little Roman candles and Black Cats we grew up with :)
