It’s been a few months since I last posted a Five Senses Friday, so it’s time to get back in to the groove! If you’re new around here, I’ve been doing these posts semi-regularly for almost three years (check out no. 1 in July 2009), inspired by abby try again. I find it’s a nice way to reflect back on my week without the pressure to write a long post.
Enjoy, and join in if you wish!
Seeing:
* the sun come up over the Weser three mornings this week.
Hearing:
* a presentation on how to get Americans abroad registered for their absentee ballots on time for the U.S. elections. It’s easy — go here now to request your ballot!
Tasting:
* fruit punched flavored Powerade.
Smelling:
* Spring in the air.
Feeling:
* my running compression socks gripping my calves.
How has your week been? Any exciting plans for the weekend? In addition my long run on Sunday, I know I’m going to try and get out in the sun as much as possible!

Thanks for the reminder about registering for my absentee ballot!
Definitely! It’s good to register at the beginning of every year so that you also receive a ballot for any special elections that may come up over the course of the year.
Yay for the return of 5 senses! Btw, I love your new(ish?) blog layout. I’ve been looking to revamp mine as well and I may just use one similar to this as it’s clean and simple. Thanks for the inspiration!
I agree, clean and simple is always a good thing. I can’t tweak as many things with this layout as I could with my last one, but maybe that’s a blessing in disguise. ;)
