Radio Silence and the Hive

Bremen sky
Before an entire week passes without any action on the blog, here’s a pretty evening sky shot from Bremen

Thanks to Pfingsten (Pentecost) on Monday, it’s a long weekend in these parts, but I’m working anyway.  Because in the next handful of days, I have: two big work deadlines, a doctor’s appointment to try to get rid of this knee pain that’s ground my half marathon training to a halt, and a funeral to attend in Niedersachsen.  Sometimes life just happens all at once, it seems.  And that’s when things get really quiet around the blog.  So it goes.

But even though I haven’t had the chance to talk it up, I am really excited to attend The Hive next weekend in Berlin!  It’s a European bloggers’ conference, and I can’t wait to take  part in the workshops and seminars and meet a whole bunch of awesome bloggers!  Berlin’s own Tiffany from No Ordinary Homestead, whom I met at our Hamburg WEBMU meet-up a few years ago, will be speaking.  And so will another favorite blogger of mine, Tina from Flying House in Copenhagen, whom I started following back in the days when she and her little family were still living in Morocco.  So exciting!

So even though I’m keeping my head down for the next few days, I’m sure I’ll have lots to share by this time next week.  Stay tuned…
