September is one of my favorite months in Seattle, so to escape the still humid weather of New York, mein Schatz and I visited my hometown for a few days this month…

I love showing off Seattle to people who have never been there! On our whirlwind tour we drank a lot of wonderful coffee, ate delicious seafood, rode the monorail, explored the EMP, checked out the view from the observation deck of the “Empire State Building of the West“, shopped at Pike Place Market, and ducked cobwebs on the Underground Tour.

We also marvelled at the mountains, the smell of the salt water, and the quietness of the downtown streets — all of which never fail to amaze me on every return visit I make. I wish we could have spent more time there, but it was a great break from the east coast.
