Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes (though my nephew wins the prize for cutest greeting)! I did indeed have an enjoyable birthday — spending the day at the National Gallery and the Famine Memorial and spending the evening at a play and dinner.

Today we headed out of the city to the town of Howth, which is on the coast. It was windy but very very beautiful! I will write more when I’m back in NYC (we are arriving Thursday night), but now I’m off to watch the much anticipated Argentina-Netherlands football game!
