7:00am Alarm goes off. Hit snooze.
7:07am Alarm goes off. Get out of bed. Make coffee, eat breakfast, get dressed.
8:00am Skype with you-know-who.
8:30am Go to work. Score a door-standing spot on the train.
9:00am Prepare for my 9:30am meeting.
9:30am Meeting meeting meeting. About the same stuff as yesterday, but with a different group of people.
11:30am Go back upstairs. Half-heartedly work work work.
12:30pm Can’t seem to focus. It’s Friday and I’m exhausted. Go outside and get a coffee.
12:50pm Meet with my coworker to review this morning’s meeting.
2:00pm Go downstairs to train someone who is taking over the funder reports that I do. Somehow, by process of elimination, I’m the only one left in the agency who know how to do these reports, but it is really a waste of my time. I’m happy to be handing them over to someone else, but the training process takes months.
4:00pm Go back upstairs. I’ve lost all motivation to work. The office on the floor below ours is having their holiday party, and I can hear the music and the loud voices. It does not increase my motivation.
6:00pm Finally pack up shop and head home. The train is totally empty and I sit down and read my latest New Yorker.
6:30pm I call and order sushi to be delivered. I sit down and read a few of my favorite blogs.
6:45pm Sushi is delivered. Yum! I eat while still perusing blogs.
7:15pm Then I start checking out places to stay and things to do for our vacation in the Yucatan Peninsula in February. So much to do and see!
9:45pm Where has the time gone? I don’t know, but I’m exhausted. I wash up and curl up in bed for some reading.
10:30pm I’m out like a light.
