If you remember, Improv Everywhere “causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places.” I participated in their MP3 Experiment 4 mission over the summer, and had the most fun I’ve had in a long time.
Earlier this month they had another mission called No Shirts, which involved about 100 regular guys shopping shirtless at the Abercrombie & Fitch store on 5th Avenue. It’s no secret that the store’s key to success is the shirtless male models in all their catalogs, the enormous pictures of shirtless guys throughout the stores, and in the case of the 5th Avenue store, a shirtless male model greeting customers as they come into the store.
You can watch the video of the mission here and listen to their reports afterwards. The whole thing is extremely funny and a clever poke at Abercrombie & Fitch’s marketing ploys. Enjoy!
