For all you expat bloggers in Germany out there, I hope that WEBMU 2010 is on your schedule for September 10th-12th, because your Hamburg hosting committee has got some awesome activities in the works! A rough outline is now up on the board*, but here’s a little taste of what it includes:
- A side trip to Lüneberg.
- A personalized, private walking tour, which includes Hamburg’s main attractions.
- A ferry ride through the harbor.
- A visit of the old Elbe tunnel.
- Possibly even a HSV vs. FC Nürnberg game, if you’re interested.
- TQE‘s Queer Expedition, a WEBMU tradition.
- And more!
WEBMU (Whiney Expat Bloggers Meet-Up), or alternatively WEBUM (Whiney Expat Bloggers Unmissable Meet-Up), has been going strong for the last five years – Bonn (2006), Dresden (2007), Bremen (2008), and Munich (2009) – and is a cool chance to hang out with your favorite expat bloggers. Last year in Munich was my first WEBMU, and I’m so thrilled to be able to show off Hamburg this year.
If you’re a blogger in Germany, join us! Hamburg really is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany and is well worth the visit. If you haven’t already, you can get registered on the Expat Bloggers in Germany Meet-Up page. Then you’ll be able to check out all the details, including hotel and travel suggestions. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to spread the word too.
Hope to see you there!
* Please check it out and let us know if you have questions or comments.
I’m so excited, it’s my fav weekened of the year.
BTW, this is actually our 6th (Marburg in 2005).
Really, I didn’t know that — thanks for the correction!
