I’m back in the full swing of running, training myself for the Berlin Half Marathon in April (more on that soon!). Instead of hitting the pavement in the darkness and freezing temps, I’m making use of the treadmills at the gym, which requires the entertaining company of my iPod. Tonight’s playlist created by my Shuffle relied heavily on old favorites for inspiration, which I’m afraid definitely show my age and how musically out-of-date I am:
- Smile Like You Mean It, The Killers
- Welcome to the Jungle, Guns ‘n Roses
- Deine Pläne, Die Sterne
- Breathe, The Prodigy
- Pride, U2
- Big Time, Peter Gabriel
- Stadt der Reichen, Die Sterne
- Billie Jean, Michael Jackson
- All Apologies, Nirvana
(Sorry for the quality of some of the videos — I still haven’t mastered the art of getting around GEMA to access the official vids here in Germany.)
See what I mean? So I’m here to enlist your help: What do you listen to when you’re working out? Do you have any faves that you’d recommend I add to my playlist? I have a lot of running to do in the next weeks, and I’d love to hear your suggestions for updating my musical accompaniment!
Yay for the Berlin Half!! Can’t wait to hear more about it. A couple of my fave songs lately are:
Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You) by Kelly Clarkson
All I Need by Natasha Bedingfield
I Like How it Feels by Enrique Iglesias
You Make Me Feel by Cobra Starship
