I’ve generally tried to avoid computers in my free time this week because my working hours have been dominated by intensive data analysis, which is giving me headaches and making me go cross-eyed. Even so, I have a few treasures for you…
- Caitlin at Health Tipping Point shared this wonderful interview from a PBS documentary with one of my running heroines, Kathrine Switzer. In 1967, she became the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon, despite the race director trying to pull her off the course. (She also co-founded the New York Mini 10K in 1972, which was the first women’s only road race. I ran it in 2007 and teared up as she gave us a pep talk before the run!)
- In case you need one, here is another great reason to visit Milan, thanks to the Sartorialist.
- I love this colorful, brainy desktop over at Simple Desktops.
- This post about hill running at Will Run for Margaritas actually makes me wish I had better access to hills! Sadly, Northern Germany is very flat.
That’s it for this week. I hope you enjoy!
Thanks for the shout-out!! I appreciate it! Enjoy your weekend :)
