This past week has been all about writing my dissertation with focused determination, training in the dark winter evenings for a 15K at the beginning of February, and binge watching Season 5 of Breaking Bad (I still have 6 episodes to go, so no spoilers please!). I’m in a rather intense writing phase at the moment and once I’m home in the evening, it’s hard for me to deal with anything that requires logical reasoning or creative output. (Hence, the lack of blogging.)
But Pinterest has been the perfect creative outlet for this kind of state of mind! And if you already follow me on Pinterest, you know I’ve been pinning up a storm these last few days. I can curate pretty and inspirational things online without having to actually create the pretty and inspirational content — and that’s just perfect for the moment.
Plus, I love gathering ideas for travel, cooking, tattooing and other adventures — so I know exactly where to look for (p)inspiration once I’m in the mood for adventure and creativity.
Do you enjoy pinning too? What do you use it for the most? Or are you still not quite sure what it’s all about?
P.S. I updated my blog theme a bit this weekend (including a display of my most recent pins on the right sidebar) — so if you read my posts in a reader, I would love it if you would click on over to check it out and let me know what you think!
Your blog looks fab – am particularly taken with the moving menu at the top.
And I love Pinterest, although I’m a relatively recent convert – I use it entirely as a sort of recipe scrapbook :)
Thanks for stopping by! I also am a huge fan of the customizable sub-menus on this theme — WP’s standard Twenty Fourteen.
Although I’m still not a huge cook, the recipes I do prepare are solely those that I’ve pinned on Pinterest. It beats having to rely on a cook book any day of the week. :)
