Twirling Christmas Pyramid

As far as I am concerned, Christmas Markets (Weihnachtsmärkte) are the best reason to be in Germany during the holiday season.*  What is not to love about outdoor markets with lights, lots of gingerbread, hot food (fried potatoes or mushrooms or wurst) and warm spiced wine (Glühwein)?  Today we wandered around the Innenstadt, where there are Christmas Markets in every Platz, each one a little different than the one before, but all with a festive spirit.  And hopefully we will visit a few more before season’s end!
