December 8 Beautifully different. Think about what makes you different and what you do that lights people up. Reflect on all the things that make you different – you’ll find they’re what make you beautiful. (Author: Karen Walrond)
Beautiful is just not a word I usually use to describe myself, even in the context of beautifully different. That I’m not the only one having trouble responding to this prompt, says a lot about society’s standards of physical beauty and our relationship to it. So let me take it from another angle. I feel the most beautiful — or rather the most sparkling and alive — when I’m connecting with someone on a very personal level. The thrill of exchanging ideas and emotions and stories is one of life’s beautiful moments and its hard not to feel part of that beauty.

Beautifully articulated. I feel exactly the same way. :)
