So, we’re in Peru! Well, the airport at least. Mein Schatz and I have several hours to kill before we catch our flight from the capital city of Lima to Cuzco, so we’re sitting in an internet cafe in the airport. I wasn’t able to check my Hotmail account because I recently signed up to take part in Hotmail’s new Beta interface, which apparently isn’t supported by the computer I’m on. I’m hoping that’s not the case for the rest of the trip.
Anyway, despite the NYC transit strike (which I hear is now over — hallelujah!), the trip to the airport took much less time than I thought. Once at the airport, the lines were LONG. It took us over an hour to check in, plus the security line took just as long, and we arrived at our gate as the flight was boarding to Miami. We spent about an hour and a half sitting on the plane before it took off, and I started to worry that we’d miss our connection to Lima — but we rushed and made it to that gate just barely on time too.
We arrived in Lima at almost midnight, and our flight to Cuzco is at 6am. Daniel’s father is already somewhere in Lima, and is supposed to meet up with us at some point here and fly with us. Phew, almost there!
That’s all for now!
